Welcome to the Bristol & District Golf League   Our goal is to provide you with useful information about The Bristol & District Golf League “ this is a Foursomes Scratch League played every year from 1st April to the 31st August inclusive.   We hope this web site makes it easier for you to follow your teams progress.   The Bristol & District Golf League was Founded in 1955 by J.K Reece Esq. and John Ireland Esq. and has grown to a total of 49 teams from 21 clubs competing in 8 divisions.   The day to day running of the league is now done through our webapp (see menu)   On the webapp, you can access all the results/tables/fixtures from 2018 onwards.   All older information is available on this web site (please use the menu to navigate through the site.)   Any new clubs application with be considered by the committee, who reserve the right to accept or refuse, applications should be emailed on that clubs official headed note paper and addressed to The Chairman : chairman@thebdgl.co.uk   Should a club's application be successful that club may then enter as many teams as they wish.   An annual subscription is payable by each club, currently (2026) £490 for 1 team, £540 for 2 teams, £590 for 3 teams and £640 for 4 teams,   Each team consists of 10 players playing 5 Foursomes matches from scratch, all player's must have an official England Golf handicap and CDH number.   Payment of the subscription is due by Last day of February each year and must be paid in full, prior to the start of that year's league season, which begins 1st April each year. By paying this subscription it will be deemed a club accept and abide by the current league rules.
